We’re working with a private equity backed group that has grown quickly across multiple entities. The opportunity now is to tighten financial control, standardise reporting, and give leadership a clearer view of performance across the group.
This is a Group Financial Controller role, sitting underneath a senior finance leader, with real ownership of the engine room. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and improving how finance actually works day to day.
This is a Cheltenham-based role with hybrid working.
The role
You’ll be responsible for group-level financial control and reporting across a growing portfolio of businesses.
This role is about consistency, discipline, and delivery.
Your focus will include:
- Leading the monthly close across multiple entities
- Producing consolidated management accounts and group reporting
- Improving balance sheet control, reconciliations, and audit readiness
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles
- Strengthening financial controls and standardising processes across the group
- Managing statutory accounts and coordinating external auditors
- Supporting integration of newly acquired businesses from a finance perspective
- Acting as a reliable point of contact for operational teams on finance matters
You’ll be close to the detail, but with enough exposure to understand how the group fits together.

- Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Has strong group reporting and consolidation experience
- Has worked in a multi-entity or PE-backed environment
