Financial Controller

This role offers the chance for an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Manager to help continue the growth and expansion of an ambitious business. You'll be working with a group of people passionate about their products and the value they add in a welcoming environment.

Reporting to the CFO, you will have a wide-ranging remit to manage the finance function internally working with stakeholders throughout the business. There is clear scope for the role to grow as the business continues to flourish and you will be able to utilise all your experience to improve the effectiveness of both systems and reporting.

• Managing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the business.
• Overseeing accounting procedures.
• Preparing timely monthly management accounts including detailed commentary linked to company KPI's and budget variances and present to Senior Management.
• Coordinate and manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts with the CFO.
• Prepare and monitor cashflow, including responsibility to manage cash collection and payment management
• Developing and implementing cost effective financial policies, procedures and controls to make sure financial risk is mitigated and financial records are accurate.
• Preparation of Year End back up schedules for the external accountants to prepare statutory accounts.

Your Experience

• Ideally ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified. Qualified by experience will also be considered.
• A high level of IT literacy, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
• Ability to problem solve, highlight issues, and find solutions.
• A self-starter that can work autonomously, but also collaborate well in a team.

• £55,000 - £65,000 basic salary DOE
• 2/3 days WFH per week
• 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
